POLL: Warnock Jumps Out to 10-point Lead Over Walker

Houston, or I guess I should say Atlanta, we have a problem.

The latest Quinnipiac Poll for Georgia did not quite go as expected.

Both Republicans lost ground, especially Herschel Walker.

Turn It Around

We have about four months before people head to the polls to pull the handle.

We can only hope that is enough time for both Republicans to turn their elections around.

First, Governor Kemp lost some serious ground to Stacey Abrams in this poll, losing about a six-point lead to a dead heat.

I don’t know if this was an outlier or if people actually bought into Abrams’ rhetoric about not wanting to defund the police.

Is it time to panic in this race? Maybe not yet, but we definitely need to be concerned here.

If Abrams gets in that governor’s mansion, Georgia goes blue for the foreseeable future.

For Walker, the outlook is far glummer.

After the primary, Walker and Senator Warnock (D-GA) were neck-and-neck.

Warnock hit Walker right out of the gate on paternity issues, and the mudslinging appears to have worked.

Walker is now down by 10 points in a seat Republicans are desperate to win.

Keep in mind. Mehmet Oz is also behind in the PA senate race against John Fetterman, which would make it all but impossible to flip the Senate in this election.

Walker is on his own here as well, as Trump has not faired well in Georgia, so I do not see how much help having Trump hit the campaign trail for him will do.

Kemp and Trump are at odds as well, so that would be a no-go there.

For Trump, if Walker loses this race and Oz loses in PA, it would be a crushing blow to his clout and make him seriously think about whether he can actually win in 2024.

Even with Biden’s approval rating under 40 percent, Trump and Biden are polling within the margin of error, even though Trump has the lead.

If I sound worried, I am, because this poll was like a gut shot.

Again, not panicking quite yet, as this could be an outlier with the results so dramatically different from the last poll, but I am concerned.
