Let the games begin…
Reports have been breaking over the last two days that are going to create a bit of a problem for Trump.
A large group of former Trump officials that were unhappy with Trump are uniting… to go on the road and talk smack about Trump.
Uh Oh…
This was one of the problems we warned that Trump could have if he decides to run for president again.
He has to somehow lure in the voters he lost during the 2020 election.
That task is about to be made much more difficult by a group that seems to be taking over for the Lincoln Project.
It is no great surprise that the group is being headed by Trump’s former press secretary, Stephanie Grisham.
Grisham was a staunch ally who just completely flipped on Trump after leaving the administration.
Grisham, in announcing the new effort to defeat Trump, stated, “Next week, a group of former Trump staff are going to come together, administration officials are going to come together and we’re going to talk about how we can formally do some things to try and stop him and also, the extremism, that that kind of violence, rhetoric that has been talked about and continues to divide our country.”
Grisham would not name the officials, but I think we all have a pretty good idea of who will be a part of this group.
Grisham added, “I’m hoping that people will talk to somebody like me or some of these other people who really did believe in Trump and understand you can be proud of his policies, you can still be behind a lot of the America First policies that he implemented, which I am, but it doesn’t have to be him.
“It just doesn’t have to be this man who has caused such chaos and destruction in the country.”
Grisham then told a story regarding the day of the riot at the Capitol, alleging, “All I know about that day was that he was in the dining room, gleefully watching on his TV as he often did, ‘look at all of the people fighting for me,’ hitting rewind, watching it again — that’s what I know.”
I am sure Trump will refute the stories being told, but this could be a real problem for Trump for voters on the bubble.
