Chicago Weekend Violence Continues with 62 Shootings, 8 Fatalities

We all thought that once the summer was over, perhaps the violence in Chicago would subside.

That, however, has not yet happened.

In yet another weekend that makes Chicago look like a war zone, 62 people were shot, with eight fatalities.

Blood in the Streets

Over the last three weekends, more than 170 people have been shot in Democrat Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago.

Among the fatalities in these shootings are far too many children.

Friday nights continue to be challenging, with 24 of the 62 shootings occurring on that night alone.

What is even worse news is that the neighborhood violence starting to spill onto the roadways of Chicago.

This year so far, more than 170 shootings have taken place on Cook County expressways.

After Biden took office, he vowed to send a task force to Chicago to help Mayor Lightfoot address the problem, but we have seen little return for their efforts.

Trump made the same offer to Lightfoot on numerous occasions, but his help was refused every time.

Even so, Democrats continue to ignore the war-zone-like setting that Chicago has become and instead concentrate on making illegal immigration legal and defunding the police.
