NBC recently invited Alaska GOP Representative Don Young to appear on a version of “Meet the Press.”
There was just one tiny issue.
The Republican had passed away back in March.
Young’s former communication director, Zack Brown, responded to NBC’s invite on behalf of the late Don Young.
“I don’t think Congressman Young’s schedule will allow him to be on Meet the Press with you tomorrow, but I’ll circle back if that changes. Thanks for reaching out!”
Brown followed up by humorously thanking the network for the tribute article they had published back when they died.
Turns out that whoever is booking “Meet the Press” is just like the rest of America, they don’t read NBC either!
Young died on March 18, 2022 at the age of 88.
He was on a flight during a journey to return home to Alaska when he passed away.
He had entered Congress in 1973 and served 25 terms, making him the longest-serving member of Congress at the time he passed away.
