Biden ICE Director Nominee Withdraws Name from Consideration

Joe Biden’s entire administration is falling apart right now.

Staffers are leaving, polling is atrocious, and his nominees cannot even get approval of Democrats, let alone win over Republicans.

The latest to fall is Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, who Biden had nominated to take over as the boss of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

I’ve Had Enough

Gonzalez has been waiting in the wings for more than a year now.

His nomination was stalled from the outset and has seen little progress since.

For many reasons, the nomination was on hold, with the most recent concerns being raised by Senator James Lankford (R-OK) over domestic abuse allegations against Gonzalez.

With no end in sight to the gridlock, Gonzalez has now decided to walk away.

He announced his withdrawal on Twitter…

His statement continued, “I am grateful to President Biden for the honor of nominating me, and I wish this administration well as it strives to overcome the paralyzing political gridlock that threatens far more than our nation’s border.

“Frankly, the dysfunction threatens America’s heart and soul.”

I would respond by saying that if Biden were not putting up so many radical extremists and people obviously not fit for office, this gridlock would not be happening.

I would also say that perhaps if Biden found people that would put the interests of this country first, maybe some of these nominees would at least get enough support among Democrats that they could pass through.

Good riddance, Mr. Gonzalez.
