Donald Trump has suffered yet another legal loss that could impact his intention to run in 2024.
A US Appeals Court has ruled against Trump in his effort to keep his financial records out of the hands of the House Oversight Committee.
This has been going on for about three years now, and Trump is more or less out of options at this point.
What Will They Find?
Trump’s plan was clearly to keep dragging this out until Republicans took back Congress and called off the dogs.
The hourglass ran out of sand six months too early, however.
Trump still has options, but I would expect anything from here on out to get expedited, or at least for Democrats to try to expedite the matter before they lose power.
While the scope of the records has been limited, that will mean little in terms of what Democrats will do with whatever they find.
This is the Holy Grail for Democrats and what they have wanted all along to try to block Trump running for president again in 2024.
This nonsense is one of the reasons that I believe Trump should step aside and allow someone like Ron DeSantis to run.
The last thing we need is Trump being the nominee and then some legal bombshell derailing his campaign right before the election.
Or, have Trump win, then have Republicans lose the House during mid-term elections and have to go through this entire mess all over again.
Witch hunt or not, this must be considered when choosing a Republican nominee in the 2024 race.
