Biden Now Touting Trump-era Middle East Peace Accords

Remember those peace accords that Donald Trump put together toward the end of his presidency that everyone mocked?

Suddenly, they are being touted as a great start to changing the outlook in the Middle East.

Now the Biden administration says it will use them as its starting point to expand peace in the region.

But I Thought They Were a Joke

With every passing day, it seems that we find out that Dems are realizing that Donald Trump was not such a bad president.

If he could have kept his hands off his Twitter account and dialed it down just a tad, he would probably still be in the White House.

To that point, when Trump’s team put the Abraham Accords into place, they were widely mocked and criticized by the left.

That tone has changed considerably.

It would appear that Biden’s team has finally actually read them.

One senior official in the administration stated, “It’s changed the security situation in the Middle East.

“Our job is to go deeper with the countries that have signed up and to go wider if we can.”

Joe Biden even commented on these plans, stating that his administration will “continue to advance Israel’s integration into the region, expand emerging forums and engagement.

“Greater peace, greater stability, greater connection. It’s critical. It’s critical, if I might add, for all the people of the region.”

Biden is in the Middle East this week, starting with a visit to Israel and wrapping up the trip with a visit to the Crown Prince in Saudi Arabia.
