For Democrats, there’s really only one way to describe Nancy Pelosi’s trip to Taiwan.
A no-win situation.
The fact of the matter is that this situation is creating a tremendous headache for Biden.
China has essentially promised war if they spot Pelosi in Taiwan, but what is Biden supposed to do?
He certainly doesn’t want to be bullied by communists.
He probably doesn’t want a war with the communists.
A member of Speaker Pelosi’s leadership team, Representative Jim McGovern of Massachusetts had this to say about China’s demands:
“Nobody should not go someplace because the Chinese government – which is guilty of genocide – is speaking in threatening terms.”
So that’s the exact stance Pelosi is currently holding.
And Biden’s the one left to deal with it.
