Things are not looking good for Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY).
She has been disowned by the Wyoming Republican Party.
She is now trailing Harriet Hageman by a truckload of points.
And her primary is only a few days away.
If the latest reports are accurate, she has mentally conceded that her time in office is over.
Time to Go
While Cheney has put on a brave face, the report in the Associated Press claims that she is “bracing for defeat.”
This has been par for the course in this election cycle.
Already, seven impeachment Republicans are gone.
A couple of them have retired, and two have moved on to the general election.
This is not so much Cheney’s resistance to Trump as it is the fact she has become so obsessed with him, she is never in Wyoming to help her constituents.
Additionally, Cheney is getting a lot of support from Democrats, including money, which is not sitting well with anyone on the right side of the aisle.
Hollywood elites, Hillary donors, Obama donors… they have all put money into her coffers.
The cherry on the sundae is the recently revealed tie between Cheney’s husband and the Chinese.
Hageman has latched on to this narrative, stating, “Liz Cheney has lost Wyoming.
“Liz Cheney doesn’t live in Wyoming.
“She doesn’t represent us.
“She doesn’t represent our values.”
Depending upon which polls you read, she is trailing anywhere from the mid-20s to as much as 57 points.
Even if these polls are remotely accurate, Cheney will have served her last day in office in January 2023.
