Nancy Pelosi isn’t the only one going to Taiwan.
In an effort to show other countries that Democrats and Republicans can work together in America, a Republican Senator is en route to Taiwan.
Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee.
Blackburn, as were many other conservatives, was very supportive of Speaker Pelosi’s recent visit to Taiwan.
Marsha will also visit Fiji, the Solomon Islands, and Papua New Guinea on the same trip.
She said this was important because this area could become the world’s new “Axis of Evil.”
“The Indo-Pacific Region is the next frontier for the New Axis of Evil,” she said.
“Meeting with leaders from Fiji, the Solomon Islands, and Papua New Guinea was an important step in showcasing America’s commitment to the region and expanding our strategic relationships. Continuing these long-established partnerships is important to the success of both East Asian nations and the United States. I am grateful for their leadership and strength against the Chinese Communist Party. In Washington, I’ve introduced legislation to permanently expand our diplomatic footprint in the area.”
Relations between America and Taiwan have been relatively strong in recent years.
That’s a good thing, because the communists in China are relatively strong as well.
