Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) is “broken.”
At least that is the sentiment of Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX).
Cruz believes that Cheney had become so obsessed with Trump, to her own detriment, everything else came secondary to taking down Trump.
Shattered
Cruz has some first-hand experience on this front.
He and Trump has some rather epic battles during the 2016 presidential campaign.
Cruz, however, managed to take a breath, then mended fences with Trump, now one of his more prominent supporters.
Cheney took a different route.
Cruz stated, “There are some people who Donald Trump just broke.
“They hate Trump so much that their mind went on fritz.
“And I got to say, Liz is unrecognizable.
“She has become a left-wing Democrat now.”
He continued, “Trump came into power, and her mind just shattered.
“Cheney’s circus act on the Jan. 6 commission is indistinguishable from what Nancy Pelosi would say.
“It’s indistinguishable from what [Senate Majority Leader] Chuck Schumer would say.”
Cruz hit the nail on the head here.
Cheney had cruised in past elections, yet she just lost her primary by more than 30 points, with Trump-backed Hageman lapping her on votes.
This had to be a crushing blow to Cheney, making her dig in even deeper.
Now, after losing her office over her obsession with Trump, she is now devoting a PAC to fighting Trump and his candidates in the upcoming elections.
Cruz said it best… she has been shattered.
