Pope Francis is once again sticking his nose in where it does not belong.
Pet lovers, beware… you are not going to like this one.
According to the Pope, if you are a couple and adopt a pet instead of a child, you are being selfish.
Really?
For a man that likes to cuddle up to abortion advocates, the statement made by Pope Francis is pretty bold.
The Pope refuses to hold our politicians who claim to be Catholic but support abortion accountable.
Yet, he is now trying to shame couples that would prefer to raise a furbaby instead of a human child.
Pope Francis stated, “Today… we see a form of selfishness.
“We see that some people do not want to have a child.
“Sometimes they have one, and that’s it, but they have dogs and cats that take the place of children.”
Oh, so getting pregnant and killing a child out of convenience is not selfish, but adopting a pet instead of a child is?
He continued, “It is a risk, yes: having a child is always a risk, either naturally or by adoption.
“But it is riskier not to have them. It is riskier to deny fatherhood, or to deny motherhood, be it real or spiritual.
“But denial, a man or woman who do not develop the sense of fatherhood or motherhood, they are lacking something, something fundamental, something important.”
The entire line of reasoning does not make sense.
If you try to justify abortion by saying someone is not ready to have a child, how can you chastise them for taking in a pet rather than a child?
I want to hear from you guys on this one.
