This week, the Supreme Court ruled 1-1 on Biden’s vaccine mandates.

The OSHA order was struck down, deemed to be overreach by the Supreme Court.

The health care worker mandate, however, was permitted to remain in place, which sent Governor DeSantis right over the edge.

Caving to the Left Wing

When oral arguments took place last week, I stated that it would not be a surprise to see a split outcome.

It seems apparent to me that the OSHA order was dead in the water, but not so much regarding the health care mandate.

The justices’ questions seemed as though at least one of the conservative justices would cross the line.

As it turns out, two of them did, being Kavanaugh and Roberts.

DeSantis accused both justices of not having a “backbone” after announcing the decision.

DeSantis stated, “On the nurse mandate and the doctor mandate, Roberts and Kavanaugh joined with the liberals to allow the nurse mandate.

“So here’s what’s going on, think about how insane this is.

“Now, in Florida, we protected the nurses, so we have people that are working. But in other states, they fired nurses who were not vaccinated.”

DeSantis also pointed out the pink elephant in the room…

Health care facilities are so short-staffed that they are calling COVID-positive workers back to work.

He stated, “So they have COVID-positive people back on, meanwhile the unvaccinated, likely immune through prior infection, healthy nurses are on the sidelines fired.

“How insane are these policies?”

He continued, “But honestly, Roberts and Kavanaugh did not have a backbone on that decision.

“That’s just the bottom line.”

I am with DeSantis on this one, as the rule makes no sense when healthcare facilities allow COVID-positive staff to work.

This would not be needed had they just allowed those that had recovered from COVID and testing positive for antibodies to keep their jobs.

I still abide by my statement earlier that I believe this is the most balanced court we have seen in decades, but this is a decision, to me at least, that is infuriating and does not make any sense.

Yet, the left will continue to say this court is rigged, simply because every decision does not fall their way.
