Joe Biden is about to get his hands on another key government position.
Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) administrator Steve Dickson has announced that he is stepping down.
Dickson is one of the few remnants of Trump appointments that had been hanging in there under Biden, but with resigning, Biden gets to name another nominee for the position.
Get Out
We all know Biden has been trying to purge the administration of anyone tied to Trump, and that list just got a bit shorter.
On his way out the door, Dickson did not badmouth the current administration.
Instead, he gave the popular excuse of wanting to spend more time with his family.
He stated, “Although my heart is heavy, I am tremendously proud of everything we have accomplished together over the past several years.
“The agency is in a better place than it was two years ago, and we are positioned for great success.”
“Over the past several years, my family has been a source of tremendous encouragement, strength, and support.
“Nevertheless, after sometimes long and unavoidable periods of separation from my loved ones during the pandemic, it is time to devote my full time and attention to them.”

Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg gave him a pat on the back on the way out the door, stating, “We are grateful for his years of service to our country and his lifelong dedication to making sure our aviation system is the best and safest in the world.”
He was also given high praise from members of Congress.
