Ukraine Soldier Livestreams Defiant Last Stand at Snake Island

In a pure act of defiance, Ukrainian soldiers who knew they were about to die stood strong against the Russian war machine.

Standing their post at Snake Island, an outpost on the Black Sea, the soldiers had a rather interesting response to a Russian warship as it prepared to fire on the island.

As the barrage was unleashed, one soldier even live-streamed the attack until he fell.

Go Down Swinging

A total of 13 soldiers were tasked with defending the island.

All of them are now dead after a barrage of shells rained down on them from a Russian warship.

The Russians ordered the Ukrainian soldiers to surrender.

Instead, they had a few words for their Russian counterparts…

One of the soldiers managed to live-stream the attack until he was apparently hit and killed during the assault…

President Zelensky said all 13 soldiers who gave their lives defending that island would be awarded the “Hero of Ukraine” medal, the highest honor awarded in Ukraine.

While most expected Ukraine to roll over and die, that is far from what is happening.

So far, Ukraine has fought bravely, with even civilians arming themselves and fighting alongside soldiers.

Zelensky reportedly armed an estimated 18,000 citizens who decided to take up arms against the Russians rather than have their country taken over by Putin.
