Britain’s Prime Minister Boris Johnson has addressed the world.
Many people couldn’t believe what they were hearing, as Johnson claimed that Putin was attacking well beyond the borders of Ukraine.
He’s attacking democracy.
Boris made the claim as a lead-in to introducing a program of sanctions in response to “dictator” Putin’s “attack on democracy and freedom in East Europe and around the world.”
He had just gotten off the phone with Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky.

“Britain did everything in our power to help Ukraine prepare for this onslaught and we will do our utmost to offer more help as our brave friends defend their homeland,” Johnson said.
“This hideous and barbarous venture of Vladimir Putin” will fail.
The line is thought to be a shot at the other nations who have not supported Ukraine, and have actually made Putin’s conquest a little easier for him.
In response to Johnson’s message (and other messages like Johnson’s), Putin promised “consequences greater than any of you have faced in history” if outsiders get involved in Ukraine.
