Ukraine has fought better than any of us thought possible to this point.
This is a real-life David and Goliath story.
If the latest intelligence reports are accurate, it will have far from the same ending.
Kyiv Surrounded
Russia has been nudging a massive convoy closer and closer to Kyiv in an effort to capture the city.
It has taken the convoy two weeks to get outside the city when our own intelligence suggested it would only be days for that to happen.
Russia has suffered enormous losses along the way, but it may finally have victory in sight.
The convoy has disbursed, being redeployed around the city for what appears to be a final assault on Kyiv.
Tanks and armored vehicles are in surrounding cities, ready to make their final push.
Artillery has been put in place and rocket launchers are also in position to launch a massive attack on the city.
Airstrikes have also been reported. Sadly, it appears as though more civilian targets have been hit, most notably a small school.
Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhaylo Podolyak stated, “Ukrainian big cities are again subjected to devastating blows.”
According to Russian state media, the city of Volnovakha is now under Russian control, although that has not yet been confirmed.
Kyiv now appears to be the final stronghold for Ukraine, and if it falls, this war is over.
The only question now appears to be how long Ukraine can hold and how far are NATO countries willing to go to help President Zelensky hold.
