Senator Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) got some bad news this week.
The latest Gallup poll shows that the overwhelming majority of Americans are extremely unhappy with how they are running the show.
A whopping 76 percent of Americans disapprove of Congress.
A mere 21 percent expressed their approval of this current mess.

Congress being underwater is nothing new.
What remains shocking to me is that while Congress gets these huge disapproval numbers, we have members like Pelosi and Schumer that have spent decades in office.
This could be the year we finally see some incumbent turnover, however.
Only 18 percent of independents approve, and a mere eight percent of Republicans approve, so no seat is really safe right now.
The news gets even worse for Schumer and New York.
The new district lines that were drawn up that would have gerrymandered three seats to Democrats has been disallowed…
🚨Breaking: State court judge strikes down New York’s congressional and legislative maps and blocks them from being used for 2022 elections. Legislature given until 4/11 to adopt new maps. If it fails to pass bipartisan maps, court says it will appoint neutral expert. pic.twitter.com/8CQYpxxSRD

Democrats were counting on these seats to temper the red wave everyone is expecting in 2022.
If this decision holds, it will finally offset the mountain of wins Democrats have enjoyed on this front.
