Joe Biden’s entire administration is filled with buffoons.
The one thing you cannot do right now is scare away investors in the energy sector.
Yet, that is exactly what climate envoy John Kerry just did.
Makes No Sense
Even though the Democrats do not want anyone to know this, most fossil fuel companies are exploring ways to reduce and/or eliminate emissions during energy production.
While progress is being made and the industry is already moving in this direction, Kerry just put the entire industry on the clock.
He stated, “If you can capture the emissions — literally, genuinely — then you’re reducing the problem.
“We have to put the industry on notice: You’ve got six years, eight years, no more than 10 years or so, within which you’ve got to come up with a means by which you’re going to capture, and if you’re not capturing, then we have to deploy alternative sources of energy.”
When Kerry’s comments were made public, industry professionals slammed him for panicking investors on this front.
American Petroleum Institute President Mike Sommers stated, “Putting natural gas on an arbitrary clock is a bad signal to send to the global community, especially given [President Biden’s] agreement to greatly expand US LNG exports to the EU by 2030.
“These comments create uncertainty & discourage needed investment.”
It was just an idiotic move by Kerry and one that had a clear purpose… destroy the fossil fuel industry.
