The FBI ties to Michael Sussmann just keep getting better and better.
Not only was Sussmann the FBI’s rat for all things Trump, but he also had a gig with the FBI before that.
As it turns out, the FBI reached out to Sussmann to help them with a media response when the DCCC servers were hacked.
Give Us a Hand
One of the little gems that showed up in court documents were communications between Sussmann and the FBI regarding the DCCC hack.
Just like the Biden administration did with policies and teachers’ unions, the FBI was doing with Sussmann for media releases.
Jim Trainor, assistant director for the FBI Cyber Division, emailed Sussmann, writing, “Michael — our press office is once again getting a ton of calls on the DCCC matter.
“A draft response is provided below. Wanted to get your thoughts on this prior to sending out.”
Sussmann changed the wording considerably to make the DCCC look better in the media release.
He wrote, “The draft you sent says only that the FBI is aware of media reports; it does not say that the FBI is aware of the intrusion that the DCCC reported.
“It refers only to a ‘possible’ cyber intrusion and in that way undermines what the DCCC said in its statement (or at least calls into question what the DCCC said).'”
Now, it is not exactly out of the norm for such statements to be reviewed by an attorney or law firm, but the fact that Sussmann had skin in this game is what is getting everyone’s ears up about it.
Trainer wrote back, “We try to really limit what we see and not acknowledge too much but the below edits are fine and we will send out.”
That stench you are smelling is a rat… and its name is Sussmann.
