DC Police and ATF Respond to DC Active Shooter Call

Friday afternoon, shots were heard on the 4100 block of Connecticut Avenue NW.

The report was made around 3:20 p.m. EDT.

When police arrived at the scene, three people were found with gunshot wounds.

Active Shooter

Police do not yet have a suspect in custody.

However, there is an extremely heavy law enforcement presence in the area, with a full manhunt underway for the shooter.

Police are conducting interviews in the area.

There has been no motive mentioned yet as to why the shooting spree occurred, nor do they know what type of weapon was used in the attack.

Residents in the Cleveland Park and Van Ness neighborhoods have been advised to stay in their homes while the search continues.

All three victims are now reportedly in stable condition and expected to recover from their injuries.

In addition to local police and ATF agents, the Secret Service had now joined the operation.

That is not a surprise, as there are multiple embassies in the area
