The dominoes are starting to fall against the Biden administration regarding the botched Afghanistan withdrawal.
Special Inspector General for Afghanistan Reconstruction John Ropko revealed some rather bizarre requests by the State Department.
The auditor in the case called many of the requests “outrageous” and “offensive.”
It’s All Coming Out
Democrats have literally gotten away with murder without so much as a gasp from most mainstream media outlets.
To use Joe Biden’s favorite phrase… this is not hyperbole.
This administration literally obliterated an innocent family in a botched drone strike, and most media outlets did little but try to make excuses.
I always thought the truth would eventually come out, I just figured it would come out in about 20 years when someone took an honest look at the actions of this administration.
As it turns out, the Special Inspector General appointed to investigate the withdrawal is already uncovering some really bizarre stuff that went on.
Ropko stated, “Some of the requests were bizarre, to say the least.
“State requested we redact Ashraf Ghani’s name from our reports.
“While I’m sure the former president may wish to be excised from the annals of history, I don’t believe he faces any threats simply from being referenced by SIGAR.”
He added, “In my opinion, the full picture of what happened in August, and all the warning signs that could have predicted the outcome, will only be revealed if the information that the departments of Defense and State have already restricted from public release is made available.
“But as SIGAR has experienced all too often in the past, good intentions for transparency by senior leaders are frequently thwarted by bureaucratic inertia or fear of the public knowing the truth.”
Ultimately, Ropko pointed the finger at Blinken for the requests, putting yet another stain on his record.
The disappointing aspect of all this is that ultimately, Ropko is proving to be a company man.
I say this because he is downplaying the need to fully investigate the final days of the botched withdrawal, which, of course, would include the terror attack at the gates of the Kabul airport and the approval for the drone strike that killed 10 innocent civilians.
