Rep. Ocasio Cortez (D-N.Y.) does not want security for the average American citizen, but she is spending boatloads on her own.

AOC is a major advocate of the defund the police movement, and now we know why.

The New York Democrat has been tapping her campaign funds to spend five figures with private security firms for her own protection.

Hypocrite

When New York Mayor de Blasio reallocated nearly $1 billion from the New York City Police Department, AOC had a fit, stating it was not nearly enough.

After the reallocation of funding was announced, AOC tweeted out, “Defunding police means defunding police.”

If she had her way, the NYPD would be gone and social workers would be making house visits.

Considering the out-of-control crime surge in New York City, that is a pretty strong statement to send out to your constituents.

Now, one would think that a member of Congress taking such a stance would be living by example, right?

Not the case. Mayor de Blasio is generally surrounded by an army of police officers when he travels.

According to FEC filings, AOC actually hired her own security team, spending more than $34,000 so far this year.

Not only is she hiring private security, but AOC is using some of the top firms in the country to do, having spent the majority of her money with Three Bridges, LLC, and Tullis Worldwide Protection.

AOC and de Blasio are not alone in this hypocrisy, either, as records recently showed that Rep. Cori Bush (D-MO), a major BLM and Defund the Police advocate, spend nearly three times as much as AOC in private security.

So, you see, these Democrats don’t want police because it does not matter to them because they all have hired guns by their side to protect them.

This is their message… our life is more valuable than yours.
