A wise man once said that there were only three certainties in life:
1) Death
2) Taxes
3) Communist governments commiting human rights violations.
A human rights activist named Drew Pavlou held a protest outside Beijing’s embassy in London.
He was later arrested after authorities were sent a false bomb threat that had ALLEDGEDLY been delivered to the Chinese embassy.
I emphasize allegedly, because I don’t trust two groups of people: magicians and members of the Chinese government.
Even more doubt is cast on the legitimacy of this bomb threat when you realize that the 23-year-old activist was held without lawyer or consular access.
If the authorities were willing to bypass that bit of morality, who’s going to believe the bomb threat is legit?
Pavlou has repeatedly denied sending any threats.
The Chinese Embassy in London reported me as a terrorist for peacefully protesting outside, UK police arrested me and held me incommunicado so no one knew where I was, I was inside for 23 hours, I want to go home I miss my family but they’ve threatened to arrest me at the border pic.twitter.com/fQgfZVnE3s
