Iranian Assassination Plot Foiled

Reports are breaking this morning regarding assassination plots of several past American officials.

An Iranian operative was looking to take out two Trump-era officials.

Former National Security Adviser John Bolton and former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo were slated for assassination by Shahram Poursafi.

Time to Deal with Iran

Poursafi is a member of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps.

Yes, the same group that served under General Soleimani, who Trump had taken out during his time in office.

Poursafi had used messaging apps to offer a $300,000 bounty on the head of John Bolton.

There was also an offer of $1 million on the table for a “future job,” which has now been linked to Mike Pompeo.

Pompeo and Bolton have been harsh critics of Iran now and when they served under Trump.

Both also approved of the strike against Soleimani, which undoubtedly played into this assassination attempt.

U.S. Attorney Matthew M. Graves for the District of Columbia stated, “Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, through the Defendant, tried to hatch a brazen plot: assassinate a former U.S. official on U.S. soil in retaliation for U.S. actions.

“Iran and other hostile governments should understand that the U.S. Attorney’s Office and our law enforcement partners will do everything in our power to thwart their violent plots and bring those responsible to justice.”

Pompeo has reportedly been given a security detail since the attempts against his life were revealed.

Even so, Joe Biden and this administration continue to try to negotiate with Iran.

What he should be doing is figuring out a way to erase Iran off the map permanently.
