Baier Calls Out Buttigieg on the Double Standard

This administration does a lot of things that do not make any sense at all.

The travel mask mandate being one of them when you consider other policies in play.

Fox News’ Bret Baier got a rare appearance by Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg, and he took advantage of it by calling Buttigieg out on the obvious double standard in play.

On One Hand…

The Biden administration is pushing hard for the mask travel mandate to remain in place.

Their logic behind the order is that people are most susceptible to catching COVID from someone in crowded, enclosed spaces.

Yet, numerous administration members will be attending the correspondents’ dinner, sans mask, in a crowded ballroom.

Baier put Buttigieg on the spot on this, stating, “You just told me you’re going to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

“The president’s going to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.

“You’re not mandated to wear a mask there, but the administration at the same time is fighting a lawsuit to mandate people on planes, trains, and buses to wear masks. So, if you’re sitting at home, there’s a disconnect here.”

Buttigieg responded, “Well, I think most of us understand the difference between a hotel ballroom and an airplane.

“And again, a lot of this is about what authorities the CDC has.

“So even if they don’t think we need it at all, they still want to make sure that we get clarity in court on the legalities [of the mandate].”

Yes, there is a difference… the air on a plane is far cleaner due to the advanced filtering system in place.

So, I will go out on a limb and say there will be an uptick in positive COVID tests from those in attendance.

I will also go out on a limb and predict most of them will have mild, if any, symptoms, proving everything about this is completely idiotic.
