House Majority Leader Steny Hoyer (D-MD) was asked a pretty easy question to show support for Joe Biden.
He was asked if Democrats should tag themselves as “Biden Democrats” during the mid-term elections.
It should have been a simple “yes” or “no” question, but that was far from the answer Hoyer gave.
Look at the Record
Hoyer, shockingly, did not immediately throw his support behind Joe Biden.
Instead, he gave a long-winding answer for voters to look at the record and what his party has achieved so far, which is utterly laughable.
Hoyer stated, “I want every Democrat to run as ‘Democrats who deliver.’
“Point to the record. Point to what was done.”
I think Hoyer better check the record before he touts it.
Record inflation, record immigration, record COVID numbers, leaving Americans behind in Afghanistan… that is what has been accomplished during this administration.
However, it is very telling that Hoyer specifically did not recommend tagging Democrats as “Biden Democrats.”
Additionally, after brow-beating Trump for daring to question the results of the 2020 election, Hoyer seemed to back Biden’s initial claim that the 2022 elections will be illegitimate unless Democrats are able to pass their voting rights bill.
However, this bill has more to do with their pockets than anything else.
Deep inside the legislation is taxpayer funding campaign donations… I kid you not.
In addition to all the money donors give, they want to create a kitty of sorts that would kick money to campaigns, you know, because taxpayers are not footing the bill enough already for these clowns.
Democrats are in bad shape and they know it.
The fact that Biden has only been in office for a year and his party leadership is now looking away from him says an awful lot about what they really think about his presidency thus far.
