Canadian Police Begin to Arrest Protesters

Earlier today, we reported that the two leaders of the Freedom convoy had been taken into custody.

Today, the police went after the rest of them.

Early Friday, Canadian police started to take drivers into custody to break up the convoy and open up the roadway again.

No Violence

Unlike some of the protests we have seen there, this one seemed to end relatively peacefully.

The event organizers had stated from the outset that they did not want to see any violence.

When both of them were taken into custody, they did so with no resistance at all.

Their fellow drivers seemed to take their lead.

As police arrived, many of the drivers surrendered to the police right away.

Police have also started to shut down certain areas.

There were additional reports of checkpoints being set up so something like this does not happen in the future.

In order to clear the truckers, Trudeau activated the Emergency Act, which gave him absolute power over the protesters, including being able to freeze their bank accounts.

Some truckers in this country have vowed to follow suit and hold similar protests that will lead to D.C.

Do you think we will see a Freedom Convoy in the United States?

Tell us what you think and if you will support those truckers if they do.
