This week, Joe Biden finally played the real card that he had against Russia.
Biden banned Russian oil imports, shutting down a key source of income for Putin.
Then he proceeded to try to blame all of the rising energy prices on the ban.
Stop It
Most of us understood the impact of banning Russian oil on American gas prices.
The problem, however, is that this administration has been lying about it so much, their own narratives debunk the recent claims by Biden.
Only a few days ago, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki played off the amount of Russian oil imported as minimal.
We were told it would not make that much of a difference, so why bother.
Then Joe Biden banned the oil and he and Psaki switched gears, trying to blame the entire surge of gasoline prices on this ban and the fact that Russia had invaded Ukraine.
Most of what they said was misinformation, but Biden finally did admit the cost of gasoline will go up higher with this ban.
Americans accept the fact that gas prices will rise as part of this ban, but they do not accept that the doubling of gas prices since Trump left office is solely due to this problem.
The reality, however, is that we can do more to lower these prices.
It may take some time to catch up, but Biden can remove the fines and fees put in place and start selling domestic leases again.
This is Biden’s gateway into pushing renewable energy, and that is exactly how he is setting up this table right now.
