Joe Biden has more or less refused to answer questions regarding Afghanistan.
However, he did offer to sit down with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos.
Even though Stephanopoulos treated Biden with kid gloves, the old man clearly cracked under pressure as well as telling outright lies.
Start Pushing Back
The good news for Biden is that he has a great tan from vacation… but that is where it ends.
The bad news is that while Biden was sunning himself, the world was crumbling.
Now, after ignoring the media for several days, he finally decided to sit down with an old friend for an interview that was an utter joke.
My guess is that Stephanopoulos will want points for challenging Biden on the plan, but the follow-up questions that were not asked made this interview a complete joke…
Biden’s Mistakes
The entire interview was a slap in the face to the American people, but I want to home in on three different points.
First, we know for a fact from Senators from both sides of the aisle that Biden WAS told how quickly Afghanistan would collapse with no troops on the ground.
Even intelligence agencies have started to leak this information to counter what Biden stated.
We also know for a fact that Biden was told by several military advisers this plan would not work.
Stephanopoulos took Biden at his word on both accounts when he should have challenged him right on the spot.
Finally, Biden is dismissing the horrific photos of refugees jammed into a plane, trying to justify it as being four or five days go.
First, it was only two days ago, but that is irrelevant. The fact this even happened is an utter disgrace.
If you watched that video above until the end, you ever hear Stephanopoulos talk about how “firm” Biden was on this, as if he was saying that since Biden said it is true, everyone else must be lying.
The entire interview was completely panned during a recent Fox News segment, which included former Press Secretary Ari Fleischer…

President @JoeBiden now says he doesn't know how the U.S. could have withdrawn from Afghanistan "without chaos ensuing." But on July 8th, he said "the likelihood there's going to be the Taliban overrunning everything and owning the whole country is highly unlikely."
