Joe Biden just keeps making moves that benefit Russia even though the country is now regularly being accused of war crimes.
First, there was the alleged intelligence leak to China regarding our plans to counter the Russian invasion.
Now, Russia is reportedly being used as an intermediary in the Iran nuclear talks.
Bad Move, Joe
Foreign policy and national security experts are truly baffled by the moves being made by this administration.
The latest being Russia being able to influence the talks with Iran on the revival of the Obama-era nuclear deal with Iran.
Terry Namkung, a 20-year Air Force veteran and founder of a renewable energy company, stated, “Russia being given an intermediary role in the shaping of the Iran deal is ludicrous and is handing leverage over to Russia.”
Namkung, who is now running for a Virginia congressional seat, added, “When you consider how much leverage Russia already has because – thanks in large part to Joe Biden – they’ve forced dependency on us and on Europe through their oil production, it puts the United States in a precarious position to give Russia even more leverage.”
Iran has refused to sit down directly with the United States to work out a deal, so other countries in the original agreement serve as intermediaries, including Russia.
To that point, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov is now making demands so the Ukraine invasion does not impact business with Iran.
Lavrov stated, “We have asked for a written guarantee…that the current process triggered by the United States does not in any way damage our right to free and full trade, economic and investment cooperation and military-technical cooperation with the Islamic State.”
Another Virginia congressional candidate, Gina Ciarcia, also chimed in, stating, “He has already handed Russia ample leverage to limit recourse options for us and for Europe during Russia’s current acts of aggression; now he is giving Russia even more leverage, and allowing them to exert influence in our handling of another bad actor, Iran.
“It’s absolutely absurd.”
Jason Killmeyer, a national security expert, and Pennsylvania congressional candidate stated, “President Biden is allowing a war criminal [Putin] to serve as an intermediary for the world’s leading state sponsor of terror.
“That alone should be enough for anyone to recognize just how dangerous this deal is.”
This administration just continues to feed the GOP ammunition to use against Democrats in midterm elections.
As long as it continues to do that, the outlook for Democrats in 2022 and 2024 gets grimmer with each passing day.
