Beltway lobbyist Jeff Ricchetti just scored a huge payday.
He also happens to be the brother of top Biden adviser Steve Ricchetti.
Jeff is a lobbyist for General Motors.
That would be the company that just scored a $2.5 billion loan from our government to make electric vehicles.
All in the Family
So, Joe Biden continues to make family members of staffers rich as he has done throughout this career.
GM paid Ricchetti close to $350,000 to get close to the White House on this.
While the Biden administration says that the brothers Ricchetti do not talk business, we believe that about as much as we believe Joe Biden never talked business with Hunter.
Ethics 101 says you do not have one family member in the White House while the other is lobbying the government.
This program via the Department of Energy, the Advanced Technology Vehicles Manufacturing Loan Program, has been nothing more than a get-rich-quick scheme for donors and family members.
Case in point, Obama handed out $50 million to a mega-donor under this program.
It also gave $530 million to a company called Fisker Automotive.
Don’t bother looking it up because it no longer exists.
By the way, just to clear up this blatant corruption, Steve Ricchetti met with GM’s general counsel back in March, so even if he did not meet with his brother, he had a large role in helping GM get this money.
