Joe Biden just made a rather shocking confession on a recent call to governors from around the country.
The problem for Biden… it crushes his primary campaign promise, which was to address the pandemic.
During the call on Monday, Biden told governors that there is no federal solution to the pandemic.
It must be handled as the state level with federal support.
But Didn’t Trump…
This could not be more disastrous for Biden, period.
So, let’s get into this call first.
Arkansas Governor Hutchinson told Biden, “One word of concern or encouragement for your team is that as you look towards federal solutions that will help alleviate the challenge, make sure that we do not let federal solutions stand in the way of state solutions.
“The production of 500 million rapid tests that will be distributed by the federal government is great, but obviously that dries up the supply chain for the solutions that we might offer as governor.”
Biden responded, “There is no federal solution.
“This gets solved at the state level.”
Uhm, didn’t Joe Biden campaign for president by having a “plan” that would crush the pandemic and return this country back to normalcy?
Also, correct me if I am wrong, but when Trump took this approach, didn’t the media make him out to be the Grim Reaper?
And let me be clear here, I supported the state approach because I think every state in this country is different and that is what governors get paid to do, but that is NOT what Joe Biden said during the campaign.
Now he is about place an order for test kits, more than likely getting priority over state requests, leaving them without the resources they need to fight the pandemic, yet he is now kicking back the responsibility for fighting the pandemic to the governors.
Not only that, but it comes on the heels of Biden trying to push a federal vaccine mandate, so you can see why I am confused and very curious why the media is not saying more to push back against Biden’s sudden strategy change.
What was Biden’s final piece of advice to governors? “If you need something, say something.”
Thanks, Joe, that is a great plan!
