Joe Biden’s nominees are getting torched by Republican Senators during their confirmation hearings.
A nominee for the Tennessee Valley Authority is the latest to get openly called out.
Beth Geer was clearly stunned when Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) pulled out a 2015 tweet that was not exactly civil, something Geer agreed is needed if she is confirmed.
Bad Tweet
If you have any inkling that your future holds a public position, stay off Twitter.
That is the lesson that is about to be learned here.
Ernst had been tagged to give a SOTU response in 2015.
Her response was apparently not appreciated by Geer.
In response, Geer tweeted, “hideous.”
Ernst set up Geer perfectly, then dropped the bombshell.
Here is the exchange…
I would have ✨died on the spot✨@SenJoniErnst just confronted a Biden nominee with a FLOORCHART of her 2015 tweet attacking Ernst’s physical appearance 😳💀 pic.twitter.com/Ysh51OUKar

Geer was clearly trying to cover her tracks with a lame excuse, and Ernst did not exactly take the excuse at face value.
I believe it goes without saying that Ernst will not be supporting Geer’s nomination.
