Joe Biden has been in office less than eight months and he already has a mountain of broken promises.
After sitting on national TV and vowing not to leave any American behind, he stranded hundreds.
Now, after making a promise to be there for Hurricane Ida survivors, former Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows is calling his words “empty.”
Can’t Trust Him
Joe Biden reminds me of Ron Burgundy in that he will say just about anything they put in his speech or on the teleprompter for him to read.
Even when Biden promised to keep troops in Afghanistan until all Americans were out, we knew he was not being honest.
Had George Stephanopoulos not guided him to that answer, Biden never would have given it.
Now we have another crisis domestically, with Hurricane Ida ravaging various parts of the country.
Not only has the hurricane hit the southern part of the country, but it has also impacted states like New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
On Thursday, Biden stated, “My message to the people of the Gulf Coast, who I’m going to visit tomorrow: We are here for you.
“And we’re making sure the response and recovery is equitable so that those hit hardest get the resources they need and are not left behind.”
Meadows slammed Biden’s promise to help them, stating, “Biden’s words are empty.”
Joe Biden just told hurricane survivors they “won’t be left behind,” which would be comforting words had he not just said the exact same thing last week, and then turned his back—leaving hundreds of Americans behind in Afghanistan. Then and now. Biden’s words are empty.

Biden is scheduled to travel to Louisiana on Friday to survey some of the Ida damage, then he is expected to head to Delaware, where he will fall out of public view over the long holiday weekend.
So, while Americans are trying to work their way through floodwaters, damaged homes, and lost loved ones, and while we still have Americans and allies trapped behind Taliban lines, Joe Biden will be eating hotdogs, sipping lemonade, and playing with his doggie in Delaware.
