Joe Biden is set to reverse yet another Trump-era policy.
According to reports, Joe Biden is about to return to Obama-era vehicle mileage standards that were rolled back during the Trump administration.
This is believed to be a move that helps push people into electric cars as soon as possible.
If It Says Trump, DELETE
Every president that takes off from an opposing party makes a fair number of reversals.
Any controversial executive orders are usually rolled back as quickly as possible.
Bush did it after Clinton, Obama did it after Bush, and Trump did it after Obama.
Biden has taken this “tradition” to a whole new level, however.
According to Fox Business, “Biden will then aim for even tougher anti-pollution rules afterward to forcefully reduce greenhouse gas emissions and nudge 40% of U.S. drivers into electric vehicles by decade’s end.”
The rules would hit the 2023 models.
Even with the bigger standards, environmental groups want more, so this could get even worse for the auto industry manufactures and consumers.
Katherine Garcia, acting director of Sierra Club’s Clean Transportation for All campaign, stated, “The world isn’t the same as it was in 2012 when President Obama signed the clean car standards.
“Millions of Americans have had to swelter in heat waves, evacuate their homes in the face of onrushing wildfires, or bail out flooded homes.”
Get ready, folks, because until the GOP can get some power back in Congress, big changes are ahead.
