The mainstream media now has no choice but to cover the debacle in Afghanistan.
Some hard questions are finally being asked of Biden officials and the deception could not be more obvious.
To that point, Secretary of State Blinken was put on the spot by CNN’s Jake Tapper, and Tapper’s face made it pretty evident he was not buying a word of what Blinken was trying to sell.
Stop Changing the Subject
To his credit, Jake Tapper actually went after Blinken pretty hard in this interview.
When Blinken deflected, Tapper went right back after him again.
Blinken kept trying to make it about getting out of a forever war, but Tapper kept pushing why the withdrawal had gone so horribly wrong.
In fact, it is so bad that former Obama advisers are now questioning Biden’s ability to sit in the Oval Office.

Notice how every time Tapper asked Blinken why things were not already in place, how he could not give a date, only saying phrases such as “many, many weeks” or something similar.
Tapper’s face said it all at one point, with the smirk reading that he knew that Blinken was outright lying while he was staring at the American people through that lens.
However, the one issue I have again is that Tapper allowed Blinken to lay the groundwork that this is Trump’s fault, not Biden’s.
When Biden took office, he made it very clear that Trump’s plan was out and the withdrawal would be delayed until he could put his own plan in place.
Biden does not get to the point the finger on this one… this mess is his and he has to own it.
