During the campaign, Biden gave the distinct impression that Beto O’Rourke would be part of his administration.
That never came to fruition, but Beto is getting some revenge.
In a surprise move, O’Rourke obliterated Biden regarding his response to the Haitian crisis at the Del Rio, TX, border.
Beto Strikes Back
Biden has released some of the Haitians to our entire, even though his administration claimed it was going to deport them all.
Reports have surfaced over the last few days that revealed thousands of Haitians were already released to the interior with court dates (they will be on their own to show up).
O’Rourke, like many uber-progressives, wants them all to stay.
So, he penned an op-ed in El Paso Matters unloading on how Biden has handled this crisis.
In part, O’Rourke stated, “Unfortunately, stung by the outcry and caught without a plan, the Biden administration used a cynical Trump-era policy (known as Title 42) to immediately, and without due process, repatriate Haitians back to the country they left a decade ago, one whose streets are now ruled by gangs and criminals.
“So antithetical to our values and our common humanity, that the administration’s own envoy to Haiti resigned in disgust, writing that we shouldn’t be sending these refugees back to ‘a country where American officials are confined to secure compounds because of the danger posed by armed gangs in control of daily life.'”
This is a pretty big shot for the Biden administration to take, but it is also very revealing, again, about the priorities of today’s Democrat Party.
Here is my question for Beto… if you are that worried about gangs and the conditions in Haiti, why are you not outraged about what is going on in Chicago to your fellow citizens?
Why are you not upset that Americans are still stranded in Afghanistan?
Why are you not sticking up for veterans who are about to get a dishonorable discharge because they don’t want to take a vaccine?
At some point, voters are going to realize how far Americans are on the priority list of Democrats.
This crisis is bringing that clearly into focus.
