Once again, if Joe Biden cannot get Congress to cooperate, he is threatening to take matters into his own hands.

I would suspect that he will face a slew of legal challenges if he does.

The subject… climate change.

Under Pressure

The irony of the timing of this announcement is beyond rich.

Senator Joe Manchin (D-W.V.) has made it quite clear that he will not support reconciliation if Democrats add climate change to the bill.

Without reconciliation, Democrats cannot get this legislation passed due to massive Republican resistance on this front.

Biden knows he is running out of time.

It will be shocking if the GOP does not win the House, possibly taking back the Senate.

Point being, if Dems do not get climate change legislation passed now, it could be as long as 18 years before they have another chance to do so.

So, Joe Biden is now threatening to issue an EO if they cannot get the legislation passed.

Biden stated, “Let me be clear: if the Senate will not move to tackle the climate crisis and strengthen our domestic clean energy industry, I will take strong executive action to meet this moment.”

And here is where the irony comes in.

As Biden makes that announcement, he is in Saudi Arabia trying to get them to up their oil production.

I have asked this many times, if you are looking to promote a climate agenda, what difference does it make where the oil production comes from.

The only thing cutting out oil production in the United States does make our greenhouse numbers look better while increasing them elsewhere.

Not only that, we end up paying more for oil because we have to import it rather than producing ourselves. Overall, it is a net loss for US citizens and residents.

Here is something else to consider… an Executive Order is only a band-aid, one that will be ripped off as soon as Republicans get back into office.

This is a headline for Biden, and nothing more.
