Biden Threatens to Use Emergency Powers Over Supply

Joe Biden is getting desperate.

On average, gasoline prices around the country have surged over $5 per gallon.

The price of gasoline has literally doubled since Biden has been in office.

Nobody is accepting his excuses as to why prices are rising, so now he is deflecting blame to the oil industry.

Here We Go Again

For months, Biden has blamed gasoline prices on the Russian-Ukraine war (a claim that has been debunked numerous times).

While he is still trying to get people to bite on that, he is now also focusing on the gasoline industry for limiting supply.

Biden sent letters to numerous CEOs of the top oil producers for our country, stating, “There is no question that Vladimir Putin is principally responsible for the intense financial pain the American people and their families are bearing.

“But amid a war that has raised gasoline prices more than $1.70 per gallon, historically high refinery profit margins are worsening that pain.

“Your companies and others have an opportunity to take immediate actions to increase the supply of gasoline, diesel and other refined product you are producing.

“My administration is prepared to use all reasonable and appropriate Federal Government tools and emergency authorities to increase refinery capacity and output in the near term, and to ensure that every region of this country is appropriately supplied.”

The companies have not yet responded to his letter.

Biden also did not present a timeline as to when he would invoke emergency powers if they do not cave to him.
