On Tuesday, it was revealed that al Qaeda leader Ayman al Zawahiri was taken out by a drone strike.
This is great for the world… one less terrorist to worry about.
Joe Biden could not pat himself on the back quick enough.
The White House released the news completely with Joe Biden at the head of the table while the strike was reportedly taking place.
There is only one problem…
Remember When?
After the strike, Joe Biden stated, “To those around the world who continue to seek to harm the United States, hear me now: We will always remain vigilant, and we will act.
“And we will always do what is necessary to ensure the safety and security of Americans at home and around the globe.”
I think we can all agree tensions are pretty high in the Middle East right now, which brings me to my next point.
Remember when Trump ordered the strike against General Soleimani, a man responsible for the deaths of countless Americans and innocents in the Middle East?
This was Joe Biden’s response…
“No American will mourn Qassem Soleimani’s passing. He deserved to be brought to justice for his crimes against American troops and thousands of innocents throughout the region.
“He supported terror and sowed chaos.
“None of that negates the fact that this is a hugely escalatory move in an already dangerous region.”
He continued, “The Administration’s statement says that its goal is to deter a future attack by Iran, but this action almost certainly will have the opposite effect.
“President Trump just tossed a stick of dynamite into a tinderbox, and he owes the American people an explanation of the strategy and plan to keep safe our troops and embassy personnel, our people and our interests, both here at home and abroad, and our partners through the region and beyond. ”
So, what changed?
Here is the kicker… that terror attack that Biden warned about never formulated because those people were terrified of Trump.
Like him or not, our enemies did not mess with the man, for the most part.
With Afghanistan now a playground for terrorists, do we have the same confidence that a revenge strike will not take place against this country?
Again, I am all for killing terrorists. Heck, if I had my way, Afghanistan and Iran would be a blot on the map.
My problem is that I have zero faith in anyone being afraid of Joe Biden and what he will do, so, yes, I am worried about a revenge attack now.
