If I did not know better, I would think Bill Maher got a dose of common sense over the last few weeks.
With Trump out of office, he is actually starting to sound reasonable from time to time.
Over the last two weeks, he has made statements that have liberals wondering where his loyalties lie these days.
Change of Heart
Maher’s hatred of Trump ran so deep that he was just as guilty as the mainstream media for pushing bogus narratives.
Over the last few months, however, he has had a bit of a come to Jesus moment with Democrats.
Last week, Maher implored Democrats to knock off the mandates and restrictions so people can go back to living a normal life.
He stated, “Just resume living. I know some people seem to not want to give up on the wonderful pandemic, but you know what? It’s over.”
“There’s always going to be a variant. You shouldn’t have to wear masks. I haven’t had a meeting with my staff since March of 2020. Why?”
Then he complimented red states, saying, “I travel in every state now, back on the road, and the red states are a joy and the blue states are a pain in the ass. For no reason.”
It did not end there, either.
This week, he did it again, calling out a guest on his show for twisting the narrative regarding CRT.
Michael Eric Dyson, the same man that accused Winsome Sears of being a “black face speaking on behalf of a white supremacist legacy.”
He added, “And it is to the chagrin of those of us who study race that the white folk on the other side and the right-wingers the other side don’t understand this is politics 101 and this is pace — not even 101, what’s beneath 101? — it’s the pre-K of race. You should understand the fact that, if you tell black people, ‘Look, I support a negro. Look!
“There is a person of color that I am in favor of,’ and that person of color happens to undermine and undercut and subvert the very principles about which we are concerned, you do yourself no service by pointing to them as an example of your racial progressivism.”
Here are more of his recent comments…

Well, Maher had this monster on his show, and he tried to push CRT, stating, “The point is parents who were spooked by critical race theory, none of whom can define it, when you ask them what it is, they don’t know.
“But what they do know is that black people are being centered, their history is being taken seriously.”
Maher immediately hit him back, stating, “I find that a disingenuous argument because I don’t think that is what people are objecting to.
“They are not objecting to black history being taught. There are other things going on in the schools.”
When Dyson challenged him, asking “Like what,” Maher explained further.
He stated, “Like separating children by race and describing them as either ‘oppressed’ or ‘oppressor.’ I mean, there are children coming home who feel traumatized by this. That’s what parents are objecting to.”
People like Dyson are dangerous because they will push a racist narrative to create more divide simply as a way to earn a paycheck.
I find it both horrifying and ironic that these talking heads are pushing a narrative that even outrages many minority parents in this country, yet they are still getting air time and a platform.
Dyson is a racist, period. His disgusting accusations against Sears are proof of that, as he is literally saying that because she disagrees with the narrative he believes in, she is a fraud as a black person.
Just imagine a conservative or a Republican saying something like that and the outrage that would ensue in the media.
