Secretary of State Anthony Blinken addressed the nation regarding the withdrawal in Afghanistan.
Blinken admitted that not everyone got out, then he did something absolutely despicable.
In his best passive-aggressive tone, Blinken put the onus of those left behind on them, not on the United States government.
They Had Their Chance
There is no question that our government failed Americans in Afghanistan.
We left people behind, period.
Even so, Blinken tried to deflect the blame, stating, “We made extraordinary efforts to give Americans every opportunity to depart the country, in many cases talking, and sometimes walking them to the airport.”
First, the cases of Americans being walked to the airport were minimal at best.
Second, texting and calling people to guide them through a Taliban-occupied city is not sufficient, period.
Now, our government trusts the Taliban to let those left behind make their way out of Afghanistan, which we all know is a complete and utter joke.
But hey, Blinken threatened the Taliban with a signed statement by more than a hundred nations, as if terrorists care about a piece of paper.
Blinken is trusting that the Taliban will form an “inclusive nation.”
Here is Blinken’s full statement to the nation…
Here is another appearance with Blinken, further expressing the reliance on the Taliban terrorists to do the right thing…
That did not go over very well, with this being one of the better reactions I have seen…
This man is an idiot, plain and simple.
The moment a photo or video shows up of an American being harmed, tortured, or killed by the Taliban, Blinken should be among the first brought to justice for these atrocities.
It’s shameful… utterly shameful.
