There was a major arrest at the border last week, but you probably never heard a word about it.
Border Patrol agents captured five individuals related to the smuggling of narcotics and ammunition at the border.
An agent was also assaulted, but that attack barely registered on the media’s radar.
Ignoring the Problem
This administration and the media seem intent on the idea that if they ignore the problem long enough, it will just work itself out.
The fact this arrest was made and an agent assaulted never made the news until now should enrage every American in this country.
The assault occurred near the San Ysidro port of entry.
The Border Patrol Agent was trying to arrest about a dozen illegal immigrants who had gotten between the two border walls in the area.
Most of the immigrants fled the area when the agent arrived, but she was reportedly hit with a 2X4 while trying to retrieve a ladder that had been used by the group.
The agent was treated for contusions and facial lacerations.
This was reportedly the third assault against an agent over the last month, yet this is the first we are hearing about it.
Border Patrol also announced that it had arrested five individuals on Wednesday near the San Diego border.
The agency was able to recover narcotics, vehicles, makeshift ladders, and ammunition.
This arrest resulted from an operation running to target organized crime groups at the border.
