Brit Hume has been around for a long time.
He knows a circus when he sees one, and that is how he sees the January 6 Select Committee.
As he noted, this committee is bipartisan on paper only, as everyone on there, including the two Republicans, were hand-picked by Pelosi to hang Trump.
The Circus
Committees are supposed to be conducted, more or less, like a court of law, especially in investigations such as this.
For instance, when Hutchinson gave her testimony, there was no Republican to challenge a word she said or call in anyone for rebuttal testimony.
Hume stated, “I’ve covered Washington for more than 50 years, including 11 years covering Congress specifically.
“I’ve never seen a committee all of whose members were chosen by one party, and where there is no cross-examination or any attempt to present both sides.”
House Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) denied House Minority Leader McCarthy’s selections, then appointed Cheney and Kinzinger, both Republicans, solely so she could call it a bipartisan committee.
Both of her choices openly despise Trump, and fell right in line to the mandate of having a conclusion and doing whatever it takes to reach it.
