If you missed Joe Biden’s press conference on Sunday, you missed a very interesting exchange.
CBS News’ Ed O’Keefe asked Biden if he was aware that he was underwater in recent polls regarding his failed withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Biden laughed off the question and dismissed it, so CBS News’ Bo Erickson followed up with White House staff, suggesting they start showing Joe Biden what the American people think of him.
Hey, Joe, Did You Hear…
O’Keefe gets credit for the question but not for the framing.
He was almost apologetic for breaking the news to Biden that he was underwater in how he conducted the withdrawal.
The video of the exchange is below, but pay particular attention to how O’Keefe asks the question and watch Biden’s face and reaction throughout…
Now, since Biden was not up to date on how Americans felt about his plan, Bo Erickson, a colleague of O’Keefe’s, decided to share the poll, directing the White House staff to put it in front of Biden…
Dear White House staff, please share the below polling to @POTUS. He said he had not seen it yet. https://t.co/dW09nTjQeX

If you did not see the poll, a whopping 74 percent felt that the withdrawal is going “very” or “somewhat” badly, but 63 percent wanted our troops out of Afghanistan.
Had Biden managed this properly, it would have been a monumental win for him, but he has managed to botch it completely, giving Americans one more reason to pull handles for Republicans on Election Day.
