Yet again, this administration has made a decision that simply makes no sense.
The travel mask mandate has been extended by two weeks by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
This is the very same agency that is scrapping Title 42, a measure to prevent illegal immigration during the pandemic that was put in place during the Trump administration.
The administration is saying that unvaccinated illegals can freely come into this country, yet vaccinated Americans must still wear the face diaper.
Why Do You Hate Us, Joe?
In justifying the decision, the CDC stated, “Since early April, there have been increases in the 7-day moving average of cases in the U.S.
“In order to assess the potential impact of the rise of hospitalizations and deaths, and health care system capacity, the CDC Order will remain in place at this time.”
Just 20 days ago, however, regarding Title 42, the CDC stated that the “current public health conditions and an increased availability of tools to fight COVID-19 (such as highly effective vaccines and therapeutics).”
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki added, “What they’re trying to do is give a little bit more time to assess [BA.2’s] potential impact, [that] the rise of the cases have, on severe disease, including hospitalizations and deaths and the healthcare system capacity.
“And their assessment from a medical standpoint, the data gathering standpoint is that two weeks would give them some additional time to do that.
“Now, at the end of that two weeks, they can determine what’s next after that, but that is that assessment they made so that they could gather more data on the rise of this subvariant.”

Make no mistake about it, my friends, this administration wants to break everyone and every industry so it has complete control over our lives.
That is the only possible explanation for allowing unvaccinated illegal immigrants into the country while still keeping the clamps on the travel industry and hard-working Americans.
