Rep. Liz Cheney (R-WY) needs to make the most of these committee meetings.
If polling is accurate, and it is well beyond the margin of error, come January, Cheney will probably be a CNN contributor.
The latest poll by the Casper, WY, Star Tribune has her down to Trump-backed Harriet Hageman by 22 Points.
See Ya, Liz
In all honesty, I do not think it was Cheney coming out against Trump that hurt her the most.
I think she could have survived that.
What I believe upset most people was the fact that she crossed over and took a committee appointment from House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).
Then Cheney put up this ridiculous holier-than-thou front, as though her father had not lied to put our country into a war it never should have been in.
The hypocrisy was so thick you could cut it with a knife.
Voters have clearly caught on, with Cheney trailing 52 to 30 percent in primary polling.
I do not know how accurate that number is overall, but it has been the trend I have seen in her steadily falling behind Hageman.
It would not surprise me, that on election day, she loses by at least 10 points.
It is not helping Cheney that she has openly accepted help from Democrats, including some serious cash infusions from outside money.
Trump is going to lose some key congressional seats with his endorsements, but the sweetness of this win will more than likely make those losses far easier to swallow.
