Senator Schumer (D-N.Y.) made a proclamation on Wednesday that is not going to sit well with many Americans.
According to Schumer, Biden is very close to canceling up to $50,000 in student loan debt across the board.
Schumer assured everyone that he had addressed this issue personally with Joe Biden.

It is like putting cheese into a trap to catch a mouse.
Election season is in full swing and Democrats need the demographic of young voters that have completely turned on them over this specific issue.
During the State of Student Debt Summit, Schumer stated, “I have talked personally to the president on this issue a whole bunch of times. I have told him that this is more important than just about anything else that he can do on his own.
“We’re making progress folks. We are making progress.
“The White House seems more open to it than ever before.”
Joe Biden is on record stating that there is no way $50,000 student loan debt will happen.
Not that his word is worth anything, but he has stated that on the record.
My personal belief is that this is a complete setup.
Schumer knows that Democrats are going to get housed in the upcoming election, so he put this out there as a promise knowing it will never be fulfilled.
When he fails to deliver, he gets to blame it on Republicans for blocking the legislation.
Then he gets to tell the very same voters they told in 2020 that this would happen if they were in charge during the 2024 cycle.
This is the same trap Democrats use against black voters when it comes to reparations.
On the flip side, if Biden does issue the forgiveness, he will immediately infuriate every voter over 40 that was an adult and paid off their student loan.
My guess is that Biden will opt for option A and just blame everything on the Good Old Party, just as he has been doing for most of his first term.
