America has lost its juice.
That is the new narrative on CNN, as the network’s hosts are finally coming around to the idea that Joe Biden is a weak president.
On Sunday, CNN host Fareed Zakaria stated that the age of America’s dominance as a world leader has come to an end.
It’s Over
It is tough to remember a time when world leaders have not picked up the phone for a current White House occupant.
That, however, is reportedly exactly what happened with Joe Biden recently.
Last week, the Wall Street Journal reported that leaders in Saudi Arabia and UAE declined to take a call from Biden.
This weekend, there were also reports that when Biden offered to talk to North Korea’s Kim Jong-un, he declined.
The White House, of course, denies this happened, which is to be expected.
White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki reacted to the story, stating, “That report is inaccurate, so let me start there.
“The president did speak with the Saudi king just a few weeks ago, several weeks ago, it’s all running together at this point in time.
“There were no rebuffed calls, period.”
However, the current oil situation and missile testing by North Korea makes me believe the reporting on this is very accurate.
On this latest development, Zakaria stated, “One of the defining features of the new era is that it is post-American.
“By that I mean that the Pax Americana of the past three decades is over.
“You can see signs of this everywhere.”
He continued, “Consider that according to the Wall Street Journal the leaders of the UAE and Saudi Arabia, two countries that have depended on Washington for their security for decades, refuse to even take phone calls from the American president.
“Consider as well that Israel initially in the Security Council vote and India have refused to describe Putin’s actions as an invasion and that all four countries have made it clear they will continue to do business with Russia.”
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is a seismic event, perhaps the most significant one in international life since the fall of the Berlin Wall.

Even uber-progressive Trevor Noah (Comedy Central) bought into this, stating, “That must have been really embarrassing for Biden. Can you imagine? He phones them and they don’t pick up?
“Now, according to the White House, this story is totally untrue. They deny it, which I would, too.
“But either way, man, there is no denying that Saudi Arabia isn’t playing ball with Joe Biden.
“And you know what? You can say what you want, but this would have never happened to Donald Trump. Never.”
The country’s liberals are finally waking up to the disaster that is Joe Biden.
